The Adopted Life

Angela Tucker, an adoptee herself, is an avid leader and advocate for transracial adoptee rights. Her personal blog addresses the complex issues and emotions that can arise from transracial adoption. In creating this space where these experiences can be heard, she empowers the adoption community to grow stronger. She’s since expanded her writing to include videos and podcasts, where her work continues to be centered around a lesser-heard viewpoint: that of the adoptee, and what it means (especially for children) to grow up living “the Adopted Life”.

This is a blog written and edited completely by women who were adopted as children. With its large emphasis on the adoptee perspective, this is a great resource for adult adoptees who seek to learn from other adoptees’ stories, strength, and wisdom. It also serves as an outlet for adopted women to publish their own thoughts and values in a safe and open community comprised of folks who are navigating similar questions.

Confessions of an Adoptee

This is an anonymous blog for adoptees who want to share their experiences without their identities attached. The posts are more intimate and can be at times, triggering. It serves as a safe space to express frustrations, concerns, sadness, pain, trauma, etc. for any adoptee.
